If your going to make a coaching blunder which can only be evident in a 2 or 3 year span (which would be a disastrous wasted 3 years); justify it.
Mike Brown could be God awful...but I do have a sample size to accurately attribute the futility to talent...I know how much of coach is to blame since I've seen him with teams of various talent levels.

I don't even think having a full season of collegiate coaching is asking too much.
I wasn't talking about the hire of Dunlap. I was asking if Dunlap was fired, just who worth their salt would take this job knowing what a revolving door it is combined with what would likely be another sub-par roster next year? That's what I highly doubt...that a good coach would take the job knowing the history of how little time the team gives them to do their job.

I'm not saying that won't fire him, just that they best give it great consideration before doing so.

SVG would make me very happy! Don't know that he would come but enough money changes things.

While it is frustrating to watch this team lately. Getting rid of Dunlap does what exactly? We have no real way of understanding his effect on the team. I think this downward spiral started with Ben Gordon. His lack of effort is having an effect on his teammates and they can't show it publicly or are too young to have the courage to say something. You can also see the effort level on this west coast trip is LIGHT years behind what we saw most of the year so it may be something that has happened recently.

The only defense I have for Dunlap is that he has been provided one of the worst frontcourts of all time... I hate to jump on those guys, but they are a bad bunch. None of them could start anywhere else in the league. The starting and back up center took 2 times the number of threes the starting backcourt did tonight... come to think of it, that's bad coaching too. If two of your bigs don't even look at the paint, can you really say their games are being developed?

I don't blame Dunlap. We're tanking pure and simple. If i had any doubt before, after watching the Sacramento game tonight, i don't. Every player on the roster except Haywood played tonight. Diop got 24 minutes,Williams got 13, and McRoberts took 12 shots. No coach is that stupid. You don't play 3 guys on expiring contracts who are worthless to the team that many minutes at this stage of the season unless you're tanking. I honestly think Dunlap is doing what he's told.

As far as developing players, i think Kemba,Biz, and Mullens, and Hendo have all gotten better this year. I think MKG was simply not ready for the beating of an 82 game season at 19 yet. I still think he has a wealth of talent though. There are quite a few viable opportunities to get frontcourt help through the draft and free agency this year. I won't judge Dunlap fully until i see a legit post presence on our team that keeps opponents from simply camping out on the perimeter when they play us.

Tanking for what at this point? We can play our best basketball for the remainder of the season and the best we could do is have the 2nd worst record in the NBA. There is no consenous #1 pick so winning the lottery doesn't mean as much as it did last year as any spot in the Top 4 or 5 in the lottery are almost interchangable depending on team needs.

We're not tanking... We just suck
