So I started my own hashtag on twitter, #keepthemcats, casting a satirical light on the Bring Back the Buzz crowd. For the record, I'm pro Hornets nickname change, but purely for the marketing reasons, as there isn't an on court benefit (I feel like I have to post that disclaimer every time I state this). Because if we can't laugh at ourselves, who can we laugh at?

So here are some of my posts:

#keepthemcats because we remember the good time (singular) we had.

#keepthemcats because cap space gives us flexibility. Forget about the first time they said this years ago. This time it's forserious.

I'm convinced Ajinca and Morrison would start on this #bobcats roster. #keepthemcats

#keepthemcats because Alexis Ajinca had tremendous upside.

#keepthemcats because why not draft another first round PG instead of a quality center?

#keepthemcats because Eric Dampier was the best center in team history.

#keepthemcats because Bernie wouldn't trade the picks that became Sean May and Raymond Felton for Chris Paul.

#keepthemcats, because of adam morrison's mustache and The cornerstone that was Jamal Sampson. #bobcats.

I may create a #keepthemcats commercial. "Help Bobcats remain in your heart as the worst statistical team in NBA history. Keep them Cats".

The first two are hilarious: I like "terrible team/gm/ownership" jokes generic for any less successful NBA team; personally don't like the specific event/player/person references..too nerdy for my taste. Overall good satire concept. Suggesting cooperation with QC Thundercats for meme creativity...
