so perhaps it's good we didn't blow our cap space wad yet? mark cuban just said it seems like some teams haven't even read the new CBA with the way they are operating. the bounty the team can pull in goes up as the belt gets tighter, after all. there will be less teams with cap space and more in need of it.

cho has brought in an extra first round pick each summer that he's been here, while sending out trash. i trust he knows what he's doing. props to cleveland though, they have been doing an excellent job stockpiling picks since lebron left, including the one that got them kyrie.

But my point is more that I think frustration at Cho in this case is unwarranted. Dealt a shit hand, you can't expect him to make a royal flush every time.

Also, I find it hard to summon outrage over it. Like JGib said, he is a waste on the roster or off of it. Unless you can save money/get a great pick/or wring an ounce of decent ball out of Tyrus... just let him sit. No need to spend money to get rid of him.
I'm in this camp as well. There's just something that would piss me off to no end knowing Tyrus is getting paid all that cash and being free to do what he wants. If we gotta pay, I'd rather him be under contract so he can at least be jerked around. I'm not even sure another team would sign him at this point but like others've said, it would be the minimum, and I could stomach even less him playing for another team on our dime.

Let him rot another year on the pine then amnesty his last year when we're ready to begin the step to playoff contention.

Telling him not to travel with the team is a pretty good indication that they don't plan on keeping him around much longer. Maybe the organization thinks letting him "rot on the bench" will end up hurting the team unit as a whole.

I mean, I don't want to come off as saying that Cho ruined the franchise by not picking up a future first several years off, because it's just a chance at something good. That being said, Cleveland didn't even take back any bad contracts that would have eaten up Charlotte's cap space. Wayne Ellington and Josh Selby are both in the last year of their contracts, and Marreese Speights only has one more year left on his contract at 4.5 mil, which is reasonable considering he's a decent rotation big.
