im surprised his shot is so busted though
Without reading through the entire thread, I would say that he's always been a great athlete and dunker, he's a GREAT passer, and always hustles. The downside is that he really has no offensive moves and no shot. Jim O'Brien tried to turn him into a shooter after Troy Murphy was traded (had him shooting 500 3's a day in summer...) but it didn't work.
I am starting to wonder if we may bring McRoberts back into the fold following the season. He has played pretty decently for us and we all know the lack of talent that we have down low. I guess it really all depends on what our plans are for the draft and free agency.
I've watched the last 3 Bobcats games, and there is one thing that blatantly stands out. On a team full of "don't give 2 shits what happens," McRoberts clearly does. He plays with a kind of energy that seems foreign to the rest of his teammates.
being out talented and experienced is different than not caring.
the biggest thing that stands out with mcbob is that he facilitates a ton of movement and really sees the floor and passing lanes well. i would bring him back to continue this and i think since he came aboard both mkg and biz have gotten better at moving without the ball and flashing to the passing lanes. i would give him 3 or 4 years at 3 mil. if we ever end up getting good, he could def be a nick collison type of player.
