Really just shows the randomness of the game and how no one can predict the future.
    A) Lebron was easily the best player to come out of that draft.

    B) Completely throwing Darko out of the conversation(obviously): Wade's better than Bosh, Wade isn't much better than Carmelo if he doesn't have significant help. Even if we agree that Wade is better wired to close out a Finals series, if you stick either of them on a mediocre team all you're getting is pretty regular season stat lines and a first round exit. It's why between winning a championship in Shaq's last great year and Lebron coming to town Miami never saw the second round.

    C) Getting Wade at #5 was only the best draft pick of the last decade if you don't recognize that four perennial all-stars were taken in the top five. Any team selecting in the top five that year had an 80% chance of getting a franchise guy.

    D) Don't try to turn "Not all drafts are the same, some have better prospects than others" and "This years' draft doesn't have a guy considered an immediate savior" into "Nobody other than sure-fire number 1 picks can be excellent basketball players". That's just disingenuous.
