You certainly don't pay him max money nor do a long term deal, but they have to do their homework and try to understand the market for him. You can't just punt on him. He's too good and is clearly a position of need.
You get him for 2yrs with a team option for a 3rd at something feasible, I think you jump at it. Probably won't happen, but they should at least explore.
Would I roll the dice on Bynum?
As a basketball player?
Not a chance.
As a contestant in an elbow throwing contest?
Ya damn right!
As a hair consultant?
Oh hell no!!
As a wingman?
All day, everyday!
No bloody way.
5 Huge reasons why.
2nd behind Greg Oden with the shoddiest knees in the League.
Dirty player (see G.Wallace, JJ Barea, Michael Beasley).
Goes full retard (Goes bowling when he's injured, shoots 3's).
And finally...because he looks like E.T

Proud Australian Bobcats Fan!!!
Seems to be the same situation as Greg Oden, yes but on a non guaranteed contract... At times I wish I was 7 ft so I could play in the NBA, but all the problems these guys have, just like Yao makes you think those joints take a lot of pounding. I'm sure bowling doesn't help tho :/
On a side note, saw a 7ft 5 guy get released a few weeks ago in the D League, how bad must he be if your that big and getting released from the D League!?
1 year contract for 7 mil
No...attitude is enough for me to say no.
Not at all.Last thing this team needs is another bad attitude.. and hes injury prone too. I like the idea of building in the draft better.

NOT a chance! Philly was absolutely fleeced on that trade by both the Lakers and Magic!
I'd only bring him here for potential three point shooting contests with Mully at half time
