What I really wanted to see was how many wins better you guys felt that someone like Phil would be with this roster than Dunlap. If Dunlap gets 20-21 wins and the "greatest coach ever" could only get 27-28, Then why are some folks so dissatisfied with Dunlap as a coach?
I would say under 20 wins. Phil has never built a team in his life, its always been more ego management and tactical prowess for him. Couple that with a bad roster trying to learn his version of the triangle and you have a recipe for disaster.
Into the crevasse!
"Climb down Lemon, Climb down"
23/24 wins tops.
Bobcats in 4.
25-30. Dunlap isn't getting the full use out of our current roster because he doesn't have a good system. But we must remember that he is a "practice coach" after all.
Biggest thing that would improve with a lot of coaches is the defense. Put Tyrus at the 4 full time and play man instead of zone and this team is at least good on defense. Suddenly we can switch every pick and roll because we have someone at every position that can move their feat. Playing zone has killed us all year.
That is a solid defensive team. LB could get 35 wins out of that roster easy. I know for damn sure we wouldn't have the worst D in the league. Dunlaps zone has been getting carved up all year. We give up way to many open threes. We get killed by teams that can pass at all, and we give up way to many offensive rebounds.
