    Default hendo free agent destinations

skip to the bottom if you dont want to read my told you so's .

well hendo may have played his way in between 11-14 mil range .im 70 percent sure that the bobcats will retain him.i strongly feel bobcat fans seriously underrated hendo very bad and don't deserve his services. ya'll can add hendo to the list of players who the bobcats lost due to carelessness. of course some may feel that 11 mil is too much but this coming from the same ppl i spent trying to convince marshon brooks isn't a starting nba calibur player and a long list of other things. i could make a arguement about me being right but why beat a dead horse again ,again, and again...by the way did i tell you that i like beating dead horses lol .

i kept stating in the beginning of the year that the draft wasn't the answer especially when we have about 4 lottery players still in development and 2-3 other young players included. yeah we might find a good player but not the franchise savior everyone is looking for . i been stating that the draft is playing the odds . there are about 10-12 superstars in the league in the past 10 years . thats roughly around 10 players out of 140 give or take lottery picks? all it takes is one player to change an nba franchise and there are some capable players thru free agency or trading.the ncaa tourney put everything in perspective how this class isn't anything to look forward to and now alot of ppl are talking about year 14 draft....and im like bobcats fans just don't get it.

im not a draft basher because thats how teams are created but if we have like the youngest team in the nba ,why is drafting still the topic. i would look towards the draft more if i was an grizz, dallas, celtic, or lakers fan .

hendo has had an remarkable past 2 months for a basic "utility man" or "6th man" for a playoff team. at this point he's showcasing his value for about 15 teams need of a sg.free agency is an bidding war and thats how teams end up with bad player contracts ,but thats not the case for hendo... so these are my top 10 hendo destinations.

    10. kings.they have needs at sg, sf, and pf. they have like the 6th worst record , which i don't think puts them in place for mclemore . isiah looks like an starting nba point so i didnt put pg. evans may be gone at sf ,salmons is a role player, and thorton is an jamal crawford type 6th man.kings let robinson go so i dont think their in the mold to develop.

    9. bucks.needs sg,and sf. jennings is going to the highest bidder plus he's publicly stated that he doesn't want to be w the bucks. ellis has 1 yr left so i think they could move him to point and put an traditional sg next to him. i dont think they will re-sign redick but if he does, he will not start. ellis and redick in the backcourt would mean trouble . bucks have a ton of cap and always on the cusps of the playoffs,so hendo would make sense especially when he's burnt them in the past .

    8. mavericks. needs everything(if they trade marion) but a pf. mayo has an player option but like all athletes he may think his value is more than his talent. mayo started the season looking like a top 10 sg but he's fell off the globe since ( trust me i have him on my fantasy team).dallas have like 6 players with one yr contracts and mark cuban is known to be unconventional so hendo would make sense.

7.memphis. needs sg and sf. the grizz have an old starting line-up. t-allen is a free agent and its funny i remember ppl use to say that hendo was an younger t-allen, wow were they wrong.the grizz been shedding cap and i think randolph may be next because he's been in rumors plus they traded gay for davis meaning davis may be in place for the future.

6.pacers. needs sg. george is an natural sf ,so granger is expendable and damaged goods. west is older but he's having a great year and i think he might command an hefty 2-3 yr contract but tyler been playing like an beast so i think west may also be expendable. lance stephenson is good role player at best . george isn't really a scorer but an great all around player who would fit nice next to hendo.

5.76ers. needs sg. hawes been playing like an all-star since his min has increased so i dont think they will sign bynum back and that money can go elsewhere. the 76ers starting 2 is wilkins ....enough said . young has fell out of the rotation , and turner is more of an 6'7 lamar odom type player who likes to get others envovled . hendo would be their go to scorer and he would feed off three good distributers(jru, evans and hawes).

4.pistons. needs sg,sf. rodney stuckey experiment failed bad and i guess its easy to look good in the mist of great players(playing w champion team).the pistons was one of the teams considering to trade for hendo at the deadline and they will have a ton of cap ,so it makes sense.

3.hawks. needs sg ,sf. dahntey and deshawn been their starting 2 guards. lou williams is a great 6th man player but not your conventional starter. korver is a great spacer but his defense keeps him off the floor at times .the hawks are one player away from being an real playoff threat. atl have a bunch of contracts coming off whether smith comes back or not i think hendo is a no brainer.

2.jazz. needs pg,sg. the jazz have milsap and jefferson coming off the books leaving them with billions of dollars to spend. the jazz spent recent draft picks and free agent signings on acquiring a sg and been unsuccessful. hayward plays sg but is a natural sf . hendo would fit perfect with the jazz.

    1. t-wolves. needs sg. t-wolves aggressively pursued batum and desperately signed b-roy and his greg oden knees. the wolves been playing hard all-season despite being the most injured riddled team in the nba. if hendo can find his shot with kemba , just imagine the possibilities with rubio, can u say 25 pts a game ,shoot maybe even 30(do anybody remember how jerry stackhouse busted on the scene, could be something similar) . i figured the t-wolves with love coming back with no true 2nd option and a real pg , that this is the best place for hendo.

He has no free agent destinations. RFA, he can only go if we let him. No way in the world he signs for 11-14 million per year.

    Let's make a bet...

If Hendo signs a contract for 8 figures or higher per year, I'll change my username for 6 months to a name of your choosing. If Hendo signs for less than 8 figures you change your username to "GM in potty-training" for 6 months.

    Deal?

2 year 5mil per to prove he can do it for a whole season. Just because a team like toronto is dumb enough to sign a mid tier sg to a huge contract doesnt mean we have to.

I'll join you in this crusade, however Hendo will have to be paid 11 million or higher as you've stated gm.

I am not worried about letting hendo walk. If some other team wants to offer more than about 8 mil per year they can have him.

Paying a guy based on his last two months, when the season is mostly decided would be stupid.

$11-14 million? Are you serious? There is no way he gets that kind of deal. But let me take a look at your list:

    10. kings.they have needs at sg, sf, and pf. they have like the 6th worst record , which i don't think puts them in place for mclemore . isiah looks like an starting nba point so i didnt put pg. evans may be gone at sf ,salmons is a role player, and thorton is an jamal crawford type 6th man.kings let robinson go so i dont think their in the mold to develop. This could be a decent fit for Henderson, but the Kings would be better served re-signing Evans and going after a true small forward. Is Henderson a huge improvement over Thorton? Maybe in an all-around sense, yes. Dont see this being a wonderful fit at all, especially with the uncertainty surrounding the franchise.

    9. bucks.needs sg,and sf. jennings is going to the highest bidder plus he's publicly stated that he doesn't want to be w the bucks. ellis has 1 yr left so i think they could move him to point and put an traditional sg next to him. i dont think they will re-sign redick but if he does, he will not start. ellis and redick in the backcourt would mean trouble . bucks have a ton of cap and always on the cusps of the playoffs,so hendo would make sense especially when he's burnt them in the past . This would be a better fit than most. Jennings will be back as the Bucks have already said they will match any offer Jennings receives. As far as Ellis, it is a forgone conclusion that he will opt out of his final year and become a free agent. So Henderson could be a replacement, but I think the price would have to be right for the Bucks. Also, let's not forget the Bucks would love to re-sign JJ Redick, so that could restrict their pursuit of Henderson

    8. mavericks. needs everything(if they trade marion) but a pf. mayo has an player option but like all athletes he may think his value is more than his talent. mayo started the season looking like a top 10 sg but he's fell off the globe since ( trust me i have him on my fantasy team).dallas have like 6 players with one yr contracts and mark cuban is known to be unconventional so hendo would make sense. Mavericks will be looking for much bigger names than Henderson to bring in. I think they should re-sign Mayo. If they do not get OJ back in the fold, I think Tyreke Evans will be their next choice. I think Henderson would be #3 at best on their wish list.

7.memphis. needs sg and sf. the grizz have an old starting line-up. t-allen is a free agent and its funny i remember ppl use to say that hendo was an younger t-allen, wow were they wrong.the grizz been shedding cap and i think randolph may be next because he's been in rumors plus they traded gay for davis meaning davis may be in place for the future. Grizzlies are still in some cap trouble. Don't see them making any major moves this offseason. Could be a sign and trade desitnation, but what would we want in return?

6.pacers. needs sg. george is an natural sf ,so granger is expendable and damaged goods. west is older but he's having a great year and i think he might command an hefty 2-3 yr contract but tyler been playing like an beast so i think west may also be expendable. lance stephenson is good role player at best . george isn't really a scorer but an great all around player who would fit nice next to hendo. This would be one of the best fits for Henderson. However, Granger would have to be moved first and David West would have to be re-signed next. West is the #1 priority for the Pacer organization.

5.76ers. needs sg. hawes been playing like an all-star since his min has increased so i dont think they will sign bynum back and that money can go elsewhere. the 76ers starting 2 is wilkins ....enough said . young has fell out of the rotation , and turner is more of an 6'7 lamar odom type player who likes to get others envovled . hendo would be their go to scorer and he would feed off three good distributers(jru, evans and hawes). I think the 76ers have to make every effort to re-sign Bynum just to save face from the utter toilet trade they made. Turner would have to be moved and that could be a possibility. I would love to do a sign and trade for Hawes if at all possible.

4.pistons. needs sg,sf. rodney stuckey experiment failed bad and i guess its easy to look good in the mist of great players(playing w champion team).the pistons was one of the teams considering to trade for hendo at the deadline and they will have a ton of cap ,so it makes sense. I think if Henderson leaves, this will be the place he goes. The Pistons need a solid 2-guard and may be willing to overspend for Henderson. I mean we are talking about Joe Dumars here.

3.hawks. needs sg ,sf. dahntey and deshawn been their starting 2 guards. lou williams is a great 6th man player but not your conventional starter. korver is a great spacer but his defense keeps him off the floor at times .the hawks are one player away from being an real playoff threat. atl have a bunch of contracts coming off whether smith comes back or not i think hendo is a no brainer. Could be a decent fit, but I think the Hawks will be looking for bigger fish and will probably throw most of their money at a PF whether it be Josh Smith or someone else like Milsap. I also think they could be a darkhorse for Al Jefferson that would allow them to move Horford to PF. I think the Hawks really like Lou Williams, though.

2.jazz. needs pg,sg. the jazz have milsap and jefferson coming off the books leaving them with billions of dollars to spend. the jazz spent recent draft picks and free agent signings on acquiring a sg and been unsuccessful. hayward plays sg but is a natural sf . hendo would fit perfect with the jazz. Another decent fit, but Hayward has played well, do you really want to move him when he has been successful? He is only 210 pounds, he might have trouble strength wise playing against forwards.

    1. t-wolves. needs sg. t-wolves aggressively pursued batum and desperately signed b-roy and his greg oden knees. the wolves been playing hard all-season despite being the most injured riddled team in the nba. if hendo can find his shot with kemba , just imagine the possibilities with rubio, can u say 25 pts a game ,shoot maybe even 30(do anybody remember how jerry stackhouse busted on the scene, could be something similar) . i figured the t-wolves with love coming back with no true 2nd option and a real pg , that this is the best place for hendo. On paper, Minnesota would be a great fit. However, how are they can to afford him? The only way they would be able to bring Henderson in would be for them to lose Pekovic and I think he is priority #1 for them. I think Minnesota might be looking at the draft to fill their need at the 2-guard or may use Williams as bait to bring one in.

first off thank you for your detailed rebutal. as an true sports fan i can reason and relate with your rebutals. the only thing i strongly disagree is that your giving tyreke evans way more credit than he deserves. evans have regressed every year since his historical rookie campaign. ty is an more athletic evan turner(better rebounder) and is better suited at pg or sf because he's not an reliable sg. hendo is an better sg and sf than tyreke at this point in their careers.

hendo would be an upgrade over mayo. mayo has been horrid the past 2 months and looks like he reached his ceiling ( i think the grizz realized that). when mayo has a bad shooting night he just has a bad game , but when hendo has a bad shooting night he could still can contribute w free throw attempts, defense, and rebounds.

besides that, all your team assessments i can say i agree that they can go either way ,and im leaning more towards the bucks maybe the hardest for hendo to go and i forgot pekovic was restricted.
