We already have a big goofy white 7 footer who does nothing but shoot jumpers. I'd like to see this one attempt some post moves every once in awhile
What's funny is just last year he was in the discussion for #1 overall with Davis. His decision to go back to school was a BIG deal. Now, just because some people say this isn't a good draft, everyone else says they would take "7-8 players from last year's draft" over anyone in this one.
Even funnier is that last year everyone was saying that the draft was terrible outside of Davis and this year's draft would be loaded.
I certainly don't remember Zeller ever being in the 2012 #1 discussion. It was Davis all along and the discussion was for #2, even then it was Robinson/Beal/MKG. Zeller was never really even in the #1 talks for the 2013 draft (hasn't been higher than #3 in any of DX's 2013 mocks).
This draft has absolutely nothing to do with however many players I'd take before him. I didn't have him very high even when he was supposed to go in last year's draft.
And I never remembered anybody saying this year's draft would be loaded. I remember people saying the same thing they did about last year "Shabazz and everyone else"
as better prospects at the time. I think most would have some combination of those (give or take a couple) ahead of Zeller as prospects
As for Zeller, I distinctly remember him being in the talks. People forget that he played very well against Davis in both of their games last year.
I also remember everyone saying this draft would be loaded and last year's was crap (outside of Davis). I remember that because I was a big fan of Jared Sullinger and he was being mocked relatively late and I thought that was indicative of the depth of that draft.
Hell no to Zeller every day of the week and twice on Sundays! He's gonna be a slightly better version of Nick Collison. I'm not even sure his ceiling is higher than Mullens. No way is he worth a top 5 pick. Len and Bennett are both perfect fits for our team. If we don't take one of them i'm going to start having some serious doubts about Cho.
