He was never #1 on DX, that's all I had to say about it. Go look at his mock history (never higher than 3rd). Most people them as the go-to internet source for mock drafts. He certainly was viewed highly, but you're being facetious if you think he was the consensus top player.
If you don't think Cho was trying to spin the reasoning for picking him then that's a completely different discussion.

That's neither here nor there, though. And Swedd, while I do agree that Cho was in defense mode, it was strictly because of that stupid fan reaction video. I don't think the pick was "panned." Most analysts agreed it was a good, smart move, and most gave the Bobcats good marks. He just wants the fans to remember why Zeller was worth the pick.
Fans might have initially panned it... hell, most people on this board initially panned it. But now everyone seems warmed up to him.
That being said, Skip Bayless tweeted that MJ showed his idiocy again by wasting a pick on Cody Zeller, which officially means that Zeller will be the next superstar in the NBA.
