That said, I wouldn't be so quick to say that our starting line up should be able to 'smack down any teams 2nd and 3rd string'. Take the Miami Heat's starting line up against the Cavs: Anthony (C), Juwan Howard (F), Rashard Lewis (F), Norris Cole (PG), and Mike Miller (SG). Their bench players were: Jarvis Varnado, Chris Anderson, James Jones and Ray Allen. Now that doesn't strike me as a team that would be a main contender in the East, but it is a solid line up with some very good players, and those players went out there and beat a talented young, up and coming team in the Cavs. The Cavs are like us, but they lost to the Heat's reserves. My point? Defeats to contender's reserves can happen to teams in our position, and to our player's credit, ours didn't lose to the Knick's reserves. And finally, while it is nothing to be overly happy about, the team did show that they are making small steps in the right direction. To me, that is something to be happy about.
