WBTV caught up with Jordan yesterday, and he offered the following quick response to the cameraman's Hornets inquiry:
Take it for what it's worth.
Join "We Beelieve: Charlotte...take back your Hornets!" on Facebook!
Sign the "We Beelieve" Petition!
Wow... as brief as that was it definitely seemed stronger than anything else I've heard.
The shoe says more than the pass-by remarks. If Jordan has chance to get style points for communicating through his brand he will take it in a heartbeat.
"It's the Sweetie Man coming!"

The shoe design looks good, though its color scheme might just be a coincidence. As for the comments it sounded like Jordan was positive about the Hornets name and that they are working on it, so hopefully we hear something soon as to which name we will use going forwards.
It's positive because he could have held the company line, but he stepped out a little bit, on his own choosing. I'm just glad to hear something one way or the other finally.
"The Charlotte Hornets name has been a mainstay throughout the region for many years, and we are excited to announce our intention to re-establish this historic brand. We believe that its return will galvanize our fan base by unifying our loyal Bobcats fans with those who have strong memories of our city's NBA predecessor." MJ, 5-21-13
