Rod Higgins is worthless! He needs to go bye bye!
President of Basketball Operations - Rod Higgins
Have any of you looked at his Bio on the Bobcats NBA.com page. Below are several excerpts:
(1) "Rod Higgins was promoted to President of Basketball Operations on June 14, 2011, after four successful seasons the team’s General Manager."
Four successful seasons as a general manager? Can you please explain to me what Higgins did that was succesful? Oh wait, they are about to...
(2) "Among Higgins’ accomplishments in his tenure with the Bobcats are the December 2008 acquisition of Boris Diaw, the February 2010 acquisition of Tyrus Thomas and the June 2011 acquisition of Corey Maggette."
If that does not explain the abject failure this franchise has become. Once Jordan returns from his honeymoon he needs to make a decision which should be easily professionally although very difficult personally. It is time that the Cats move on from Rod Higgins. He is the face of failure!
Then, he needs to call his good friend Phil Jackson and say Phil, I am giving you the keys to the car and do what you need to do. It would lend instant credibility to the Bobcats and also show Charlotte that Michael is truly committed to making this team the best it possibly can be. As long as Higgins is here I will always view the Bobcats as his own personal country club where he sits around with his buddies and slap each other on the back all day.
Just my thoughts.
Rod Higgins is worthless! He needs to go bye bye!

I hate Higgins. He is the common denominator to our struggles. He cannot evaluate talent. He cannot run a franchise. He is a joke. For Christs sake, he signed his son. HIS SON!. And MJ let it happen. This franchise will not go anywhere as long as he is involved.

The funny thing is, 3 out of 3 of the moves named in the OP had people salivating when they were executed. Maggette was just a salary dump we took to get rid of Jackson and pick up some guy named Bismack Biyombo. Diaw came over with Bell in exchange for J-Rich and Dudley. Both of them were responsible for a very short lived culture shift on this team and he actually did help us during our only winning season before morphing into the ultimate loser on the worst team in NBA history. Tyrus Thomas also helped us make the playoffs that year and has injured so often that his development gotten completely off track from what it could have been. After each one of these moves, this site was full of positive remarks about how well Higgins was doing. People still cite Bismack as one of the reasons why Cho is so smart. But the Maggette part of that trade belongs to Higgins?
LOL!!!
I'm guessing this is the new flavor of Kool Aid we are drinking? Higgins is by no means great at his job. Let's not make any mistake in saying the primary reason he still has the job lies in anything other than he's MJ's friend. However, our front office is made up of a lot more people than him. I think we have more than enough blame to pass a bit around to everyone. He is a higher up, so he deserves a fair share. But lets not create a scapegoat and put moves that were initially popular here to prove an unfair point. We have many faces of failure. Not one face.
Lol I can't believe we had his son signed. I bet it was one of those things like "just give him a try I'm sure you'll love him"
