I'd love to have both Mac and Hendo. Both pieces I wrote were highly supportive of the players. I just don't see the Cats drafting another SG when you have Ben Gordon for one more year, Ramon Sessions, and Jeff Taylor all capable of playing SG, and of course Henderson.
Also, for the record, to those saying he's hit his ceiling—I completely, 100% disagree. This was only his second year of playing as a true starter, and he exploded in the back half of the season. Kemba and Hendo were one of the best backcourts in basketball. Henderson, with more weapons around him, will see a boost in scoring. Count on it. Teams won't look at him as the Bobcats' only viable offensive option. Once he has players able to put the ball in the basket in the frontcourt, you're going to see his value skyrocket.
Also, about the celing... he added 10 percentage points to his three-point shooting in one season, reached the charity stripe more often, and proved he's a more than adequate playmaker, all of which were knocks against him going into 2012-13. Henderson's only25, and while that's comparatively old on such a young team, he's barely entering his prime. Give the man a break.
