I was going through NBA.com's Free Agent Tracker list and saw a few names I liked for the Cats this offseason so I figured I'd see who people like as legit options at this point in the team's development.
- We draft Nerlens Noel
- Trade/Release/Buyout Ben Gordon and/or Tyrus Thomas
- Assuming we have a coach with defined rotations
Any thoughts on realistic targets we can sign? (Not including re-signing our expired contracts)
I'll start off with one of my picks, Dorell Wright. He's a good 3 point shooter and has great length at 6'9. One thing this team needs is shooters, or more specifically, accurate ones from 3 and with his efficiency playing only 20-25 minutes a night last season he would fit right in behind MKG and JT at either wing position.
Agree? Disagree? Thoughts?
Adding competent journeymen isn't going to make a huge difference for this team. It needs to add a star or two or it isn't going anywhere.
i dunno who to add, but i'd like to see some role players who can do one of three things very well:
defend within a team concept and teach that to other players/hold others accountable
Kemba and Bismack: The Future Has Arrived
dwight howard and chris paul
No one really significant, we need to be the worst team in the NBA next year.
App State '18
Cole Aldrich and Jerry Stackhouse
Unless we can steal a solid prospect that a team let go, I say leave things as they are. Let's develop our young players and get amazing draft position for next year's amazing draft.
THEN we can worry about adding pieces for a deep playoff run.
