Taking Jonny Flynn over Steph Curry in the top ten is disastrous, but taking Toney Douglas over Sam Young at 29 is just one of those things that sometimes happens. I'm sure if Indiana were to do it all over again they'd have taken someone different (probably one of the Vandy players), but we're talking about the guy taken between Tony Wroten and Arnett Moultrie. It's hard to consider anyone a bust when the best players, after the fact, on the board at that time look like decent career bench players.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are targeting Victor Oladipo in the NBA draft, according to league sources.
The Timberwolves currently have the ninth overall pick and would have to move up to get Oladipo.
Flip Saunders is likely to engage the Charlotte Bobcats, holders of the No. 4 pick, in trade talks.
** I could definitely see us moving back to the 9th spot if we got Derrick Williams and maybe some other pick out of it someway. It would have to be a three team deal though unless they were willing to take on TT which I doubt. But the 9th pick and D-Will would make sense for the framework of a deal... Not saying I would like it though, if Bennett or Len were available then I would be happy to do that, I guess I would be okay with Zeller as well to some extent, but might want a second rounder or another player to sweeten the deal.
If someone can come up with some trade scenarios that would be cool.

If we could get #9 and #26 and also a player like Williams, would likely be too good to pass up that deal.
Williams, Ridnour, and #9 for #4 and Gordon.
That isn't bad but I'd turn the screws for at least a 2nd rounder out of them.
I have no real interest in Ridnour if I am honest, I like Sess as our back up, I think we would be more likely to get another team involved, trouble is those three team trades are almost impossible to predict and work out, they always seen to come out of nowhere.
The Wolves fan seem happy with #9+#26+Williams... That would be hard to resist if we could still get our hands on Zeller or Len at #9

Maybe. I really do like Oladipo and McLemore both. But I also like the idea of D. Willims in a Hornet uniform, and grabbing Shabazz with #9. Not saying it is a no brainer, but it would be worth looking into. We would be filling two positions of need (especially if we lose Hendo). And if we could get #26 from them also, makes it more interesting.
As for Williams himself, he's a smaller, darker version of Mullens, IMO. His FG% would be the 2nd lowest of all our starters (even below Biyombo). You never want your PF to be shooting 43%.Sure he would give us 15-20 ppg, but VERY inefficiently and with little defense to boot. Also, there's a reason that the T'Wolves have been trying to dump him off on teams for the past two years...
