Swedd or Zig, I thought it might be a good idea to spread the draft discussion out to some player specific threads. If this is a problem, just lock em up, but I thought it might be more aesthetically pleasing.
Anthony Bennett, F, out of UNLV, 20 years old (3/14/93), probably around 6'8" in shoes

I think the majority of mock drafts have the Horncats taking this guy at 4. Could be Larry Johnson 2.0, could be the latest in a long list of failed tweeners.
Feel free to post any news or info about Anthony Bennett here and - god help us - your own personal thoughts.
This potential pick scares me way more than any of the others. I see Bennett being way closer to Big Baby Davis than LJ or Barkley.
His complete lack of interest in defense is also something that I don't want on this roster.

He is a alot more skilled that Glen Davis, he is a real offensive threat, think of him more of a more athletic Paul Millsap kind of player rather than Barkley
I'm scared and intrigued in about equal measure.
I think if he 1) really wants and buys into being a POWER forward and 2) is willing to play Defence with the same intensity as on Offence then he has the potential to be something quite special.
But with him likely being 6ft 7 in shoes and all available evidence pointing against him meeting points 1 & 2 ... I don't think I could support drafting him if either McLemore or Oladipo are available.

Bennett could be an interesting pick, but he might not get past the Wizards if they go for him over Porter since they'll likely decide between the best two forwards.
Bennett will be a solid NBA player because he has got both inside and outside game.

My Article on Anthony Bennett http://sportsclt.com/charlotte-bobca...-bobcats-at-4/
If you only consider stats, he's the best freshman tied with Noel and one of the most effective player in NCAA.
If he's 6'8'' or more, with his windspan and his high shoulders, I would take him ahead of Oladipo and McLemore.
More than anyone else we will consider at #4, he has the most BOOM or BUST potential.
Thanks for going to all of this trouble adam. I've done individual prospect threads in the past and they seem to go over well.
I meant to do them again this year before I left for my trip but forgot. Thanks for picking up the slack and for doing a great job on them
i have a feeling these will pick up, but i wonder how positional analysis would go over - Wing Prospects, Big Men Prospects. might be a lil more heated, which would sort of be the point.
