To your point about them developing to meet their potential, I agree, on paper that's the probable projections. However, with the right offensive system our entire froncourt (with or without Noel) can contribute more than what the consensus seems to be. Sure MKG, Noel and Biz probably won't be players we can rely on to create their own offense, but that's on our coaching staff to put them in the best possible positions to contribute. Utilizing their skill sets and maximizing production and efficiency out of them "as-is" should be the primary focus, not expanding the scope of their abilities. Especially with a such a low probable ceiling on their abilities on that end to begin with. I think we can get more out of these guys but it's limited to how the overall schemes develop.
Which is a good transition into my next point. In todays game I don't believe there is a need for a major scoring threat in the post (just my opinion, no stats to back me up so don't attack me with numbers). At least not in the traditional sense of posting up one or both our bigs and bullying teams in the paint. Though I concede it's definitely a weakness in the offense, I don't think it's neccessarily an arrow in the heel. I think teams can be successful without a major post threat, and with teams going in that direction (ex. MIA, OKC) I think (hope) we'll be fine moving forward.
But none of my points mean sh** if the right systems aren't implemented....
