Over on ESPN insider...2012-13 stats were: 17.8, 9.2, 2.1 APG. He is only 28, 6'10" and 289lbs. We are going to have to get a veteran at some point...thoughts?
Well (deep) I'm not interested having him on the team...but this is already "pretty much" in the "rumors" thread...

I'm 100% for it. Bring him in.
100% against it. Not great enough to bring us to the playoffs but good enough to keep us away from a Top 3 pick in next year's draft. We are one single year away from being competitive again, hope we don't screw everything up with a guy like Jefferson.
We have to go for it. We've sucked for years, one more year is nothing. If we don't get the high pick we want then we could trade the pick we have and/or sign players in 2014 FA that's going to be better than this year's FA.
Our first (and last) playoff team was good but far from good enough to win a championship. Signing a guy like Jefferson this year would just erase the 3-4 years of rebuilding process that are behind us and go back to the same type of team that can reach a playoff spot but that cannot do anything else than be swept in the first round. Just like Milwaukee did signing Ellis, they regret it badly now.

what rebuilding? We have the worst big men in the league besides from zeller cuz he hasent played yet
A couple thoughts on this:
But this is like if a Brazilian supermodel moved in down the block. Are you gonna go, "aww shucks, I'm not going to get her anyway, I'll just go hit up this 38 year old soccer mom. She's alright, but at least I'm guaranteed some." Even if its just a 10% chance, you go knock on the supermodels door and invite her for dinner. You never know what will happen, instead of settling for a life as a stepdad who works his 9 to 5 and has chicken parm every Wednesday.
Plus, the Bulls had no chance in hell of getting Derrick Rose, they were the 9th slotted team, but guess what? They got Derrick Rose. It happens.
Second thought, putting on my conspiracy theory hat:
So lets say Cho really doesn't want to land in purgatory on the perpetual treadmill. But there's also all the fans that will bitch and moan at the team for not doing anything or even trying. So to appease such people, as soon as free agency opens, express strong interest in one of the top free agent big men, saying how much we really really want him, but not really giving him much of an offer.
That way, nobody can really say that we are "tanking" and not trying to improve; rather that "hey, nobody wants to play for the lolcats again." So then we can "tank" discreetly and with impunity. The Cho is a ninja nerd genius. I put nothing past him.

Not interested, I say pass
He wants a max contract.
I hope all we had for him was a prank phone call.
