Pretty much textbook. Guide hand just guides, elbow in, etc. Not a lot of jump in my jumpshot, you can probably slide a couple of children's books under my feet but that's about it so Delly Curry-esque in that regard. Another wrinkle is that my shot usually has just a little backspin on it, really soft, but not picturesque. Could use a little more arc. I just watched a lot of Glen Rice and Karl Malone so that's probably where my mechanics come from, plus my older brother who is a great shooter.
That said, I'm more of a scorer than a shooter. Not great at spot-up situations at all, my game is so rhythm dependent so off the dribble is way more accurate for me. Anywhere from inside the arc I can pretty much get a shot off because my shot is so wrist/fingers propelled that I have great touch. Turnarounds over either shoulder, leaners, fadeaways, teardrops, hooks with either hand (left is admittedly useless outside of the post), scoops, finger rolls, BroDave have it all. I was a decent to streaky 3pt shooter but not playing regularly has caused those muscles to weaken more than I expected.
I don't think I enjoy watching anyone shoot more than Dirk Nowitzki right now.
