Hola folk, Kat has a question...
Long time posters and new bloods on Bobcatsplanet.com aka the greatest damn web site on the planet Earth ( fuck the moon) We all know this is the last ever season of Bobcats basketball. We have all suffered through these last ten yrs. I've been a member since 2008, logged in almost 3,500 posts. Been a Bobcats fan from day one, and now this is the last season...
I wanted...Needed, the Hornets back. But my team, the Bobcats, who i have taken so many funny looks for being a fan of, is now gone. No more Rufus ( who I never liked ), no more "please dont shoot me" Deer hunters bright orange, no more stupid unscary Bobcats face logo, No more Bob...
But my question is how will you "celebrate" this last season of the Cats. I know alot of you want to tank for a high draft pick, as I read the draft is supposed stacked this year. Weird the draft gets stacked right when its time to stop losing and make a change into a real NBA team. I will honestly be sad to see the Bobcats name go, I've spent many a year investing my heart and soul into every game and feeling every stab as we lose win able games and can't stand looking at ( but I keep watching ) the blow outs.
Now the Cats play their last season, how will you feel? Will more fans from the bandwagon cuz of the name change soften your die hard love? If you are to young to really remember the Hornets, what does this last season mean to you? If for whatever reason you really just like the Bobcats, what does this last season mean to you?
Been around for some yrs on this site, love or hate or just don't care about the Kat, you know I love my bobcats Basketball. But do you feel like I feel? Ready for this change, excited even, but a little sad at all the yrs in the rear view and believe it or not fun times had with bobcats basketball

I won't be sad to see the Bobcats go at all. I hate the colors. I hate the Mascot. And i hate that stupid PA announcer that they had the first few years. It's been over a decade since my Hornets lost to the Nets and the hive went silent. I'm more than ready for the re-birth! And i won't be any less die hard than i am now. Most of the fans in Charlotte are bandwagon anyway. I'm totally used to it.
Hopefully, the Hornets will wear some throwback Bobcats jerseys during a few home games every season.
Shouldn't this thread title be "End of an Error"? Just kidding (kind of)
I will celebrate like a mofo but, I've tried to go out of my way not step on any toes or give any I told u so's out since the change was announced (although there was 1 person who will remain nameless that made taking the high road difficult). I will continue to be respectful of the people that didn't want the change.
There is literally nothing that I will miss about the Bobcats brand. The name, colors, and mascot were terrible in my view and I'm glad they are gone.
All the good things (Stephanie Ready) will still be here as Charlotte Hornets.

My question is what will happen to BCP as far as branding? Fundraiser to buy a new Hornets themed domain? We could have an auto redirect to the new domain so as to not lose traffic/posters but will we still be BCP without the Bobcats?
Lurking and judging you since 2008
Check out The Lottery Mafia!
It would be a nice memorial to keep it as bobcats planet, but we would probably struggle to get new posters.
Go Panthers, Go Bobcats, Go Hurricanes - War Damn Eagle
I never minded the bobcats as I just support the team. I will interested to see how many new "fans" get excited to support the hornets and immediately hop off after 2 more bad seasons.
I understand the history of the name and stuff though so good for you guys who have been watching since the early hornet days.
I had a dream the other night, it was next season and the Bobcats were playing the Wizards at home. Anyway, it was a pretty typical game and Biyombo was at the line. All of a sudden, the crowd started going nuts... Hugo came through the tunnel and beat the stuffing out of Rufus. The crowd was hysterical and stormed the court. I assume this is how the transition will be for me.
If you're absolutely starved of Bobcat's musings, my blog is here: http://bobcatatonic.wordpress.com/
