Grossly outplaying? Come on. MKG is still the clear starter at that position. He hasn't been putting up the stats because he's been working hard on his jumper for in-game situations, and it's working. His jumper is becoming much more consistent. If you've watched the games, you've seen that MKG has almost exclusively ignored a drive to the rim in order to put up a jumper. Add his consistent jumper to the hard-driving, athletic finisher and it's obvious that MKG is still the best prospect at that position, even if JT is putting up better stats in SUMMER LEAGUE.
I know being a Charlotte fan is tough... I've been one for 13 years now, since I moved here when I was 10. But some people are super ready to put their feet down on the bust-pedal and say MKG wasn't worth it. Dude's not even able to drink legally yet, and like I said, if you've watched ANY game with MKG playing, it's abundantly clear that he's being reigned in to mostly work on his jumper.
