Nice article. Everything he covers has some form of foundation. We are a Thunder/Pacers/Nuggets hybrid in the very beginning. As Lowe rightly points out, there is no way knowing how Walker, MKG, Zeller progress, and what their ceiling will be down the line. Like Lowe, some of us are concerned that the teams ceiling is mediocrity, that could be the case but I believe in the progress of our core, and in Cho's ability to find 1st round gems like Faried (#22 in '11) and Lawson (#18 in '09).
We are in year 3 of the rebuild and we're not done just yet. I think so far so good. With 3-4 first rounders in the next 2 years, plus Clifford bringing stability to the coaching area, we will exceed mediocrity. The pieces are in place.
Edit: What people tend to ignore, the FA class next year is actually really weak (besides Lebron, Melo, Bosh, Gasol etc. - players who wouldnt have come here anyways). If we wouldnt have signed Big Al this year, the front court players we could have gotten next year are the caliber of Hawes, Humphries, Okafor, Jordan Hill). I prefer Big Al to all of them.
