I think he's a rare talent with his combination of size, floor vision, handles, and passing. The problem is that playing NBA basketball doesn't seem to be particularly high on his priority list, to put it mildly. I think part of the reason he was cut was for financial reasons, Philly didn't owe him money so he was in a sense a non-guaranteed contract and tanking teams like having roster spots available to facilitate trades.
He doesn't really fit our roster, we need shooters and are pretty stocked with postmen. I'd give him a shot in the future after he's stewed out of the league for a year and gotten in shape but usually with cases like this some storied franchise like the Spurs or Heat will pick him up a la Heat with Oden and Beasley and manage to get something out of him.
