Okay, we've gotten a small taste of Zeller in the NBA. Here we go.
Some midrange face up skills. Shows potential hitting the shots and scoring off a dribble or two.
Running the floor.
Capacity to defensively hedge on the pick and roll.
With his height, theoretically he should be able to see the floor and be a good passer.
Cannot do much in traffic(rebounding, etc.). Desperately needs to physically mature.
Has the length of a 6'8" to 6'9" guy. ENOUGH of the "athletic 7-footer" talk.
High-measured vertical jump doesn't translate to a lot of explosiveness on the court.
Cannot post up many NBA 4's at this time.
Continue to physically mature in the upper body, and extend his range out to the 3-point line. That is the only realistic hope I see for Zeller to be an excellent player. Perhaps then he could be an 18 and 8 guy.
