Clifford said he wants to get Cody's minutes up to around 20mpg after Christmas as he is worried McRoberts is getting worn out. He also said that last night's game was his best of the season so far, he pointed to Cody being more aggressive, his decision making on offence (using his quickness) and offensive rebounding.
I don't know how much people watch the post game interviews, but they are normally good for some information, especially from the coach. Clifford discussed Cody after the game last night, he said the following:
Question: Cody looked a little uncomfortable last night, but did better today, can you talk about his progress?
Clifford: Ohhhh he played good, I'm telling you though, for me if you saw him every day you would see he is figuring it out now. He is practising well, he is playing with a lot better purpose, you know I think his intelligence is coming to the forefront. In the second half he was good, in the first half he was really good, he played reall really well.
For about a 2 minute stretch he played Monroe about as well as anyone could have. Very impressive and (I hope) a sign of good things to come.
