The Charlotte Bobcats (5-6) are back home at the Time Warner Cable Arena, as they host the Brooklyn Nets (3-7). The Cats lost to the Bulls on Monday night 97-81, while the Nets lost to the Trail Blazers 108-98. The Cats are looking for win at home and go up to .500.
***My personal opinion on this match-up: I am really looking forward to watching the Cats take on the Nets. I am from New York and Nets are my 2nd favorite team so I am very excited to see both of my favorite teams square off against each other. Al Jefferson should be back in the line-up so this should be one good game, considering that the Nets are desperate for more wins and Cats are looking to go up to .500!

The Nets are a good example of what happens when you put your trust in old players.
There's no way that they should have given up what they did to get Garnet and Pierce. They are both 8 years past their prime.

They went all-in this season, and it's showed how badly they've struggled.

If you're absolutely starved of Bobcat's musings, my blog is here: http://bobcatatonic.wordpress.com/
TC's Keys to the Game:
MKG: Which MKG shows up. The 16/8 guy, or the 6/4 guy. MKG needs to show consistency on the offensive side of things to show his worth, and especially to make his opponent expend energy on the defensive end. As his opponent is generally the best scorer on the opposing team, MKG needs to punish and expose that player to make him work as hard as possible on both sides of the court, leaving him with less energy on the offensive end.
Hendo/Walker FG%: Hendo and Walker have been shooting like trash. Will they get out of their slump? We've seen Hendo be extremely passive at times, settling mainly for his jumper. Walker hasn't been shooting well ever since that shoulder injury. Will they again shoot 4/40?
Biyombo Factor: Biyombo has been a force on the defensive end. Consistently rebounding at a strong rate, his defensive work has been sublime. He's up against an excellent scorer in Brook Lopez. With Biz be able to slap Lopez's shots away? Or will Lopez make Biz his roast dinner for tonight.
Defense: Can Walker ever stop a PG from penetrating into the lane? Can Henderson ever get around a screen to stop a guard from penetrating? Will MKG not hit the floor for one game? D. Will when healthy is a force of nature, luckily he's been absolute trash this season so we'll have to see whether Walker can stop the old man. Will Brook Lopez's new found love for defense help the nets stop the Bobcats's shocking offense.

The Nets have a roster full of new players and a new coach with no experience. I am not convinced they are a bad team yet. Just going through growing pains. I also highly doubt we will remain 6th in the East for much longer. The season has barely begun. Weird stuff happens.
That being said, they are still in the process of figuring out how to play together, so I hope we can take advantage of it tonight.
bobcats normally play at a very slow pace. i hope the team gets out and runs tonight. the nets cannot hang with us if we are constantly pushing in transition. imagining paul pierce chasing mkg around already has me feeling optimistic.
