As of this writing, 4 of the top 10 NBA rpg leaders could have been Bobcat picks in '07, '08, '11, '12.....
Lesson 1?: If a player has the size, length, necessary mobility, and skill set for his NBA position, along with demonstrating productivity in a high level of college competition, maybe draft him? See Nikola Vucevic, who looks like a better player than Bismack Biyombo.
Lesson 2?: If a freak athlete 7-foot physical specimen enters college with a strong rep and has one disappointing NCAA season, maybe be a little forgiving? The NCAA game has traditionally been all about guards. Perhaps it's not the best setting for assessing such bigs. So maybe Deandre Jordan should have been on our radar with that pick we acquired in hopes of getting Hibbert/Ajinca. See also Andre Drummond from the '12 draft.
Lesson3?: Okay never mind. I can forgive not picking Spencer Hawes in 2007.
