A little bit lost in the shuffle this season for the Bobcats in my opinion is that they haven't yet faced that portion of their schedule that is "the run of death". But in my opinion it began Saturday when the Bobcats played Phoenix. Just look at the 15 game stretch:
2/1/14 - @ Phoenix (29-1
2/4/14 - @ GSW (29-19)
2/8/14 - San Antonio (34-13)
2/11/14 - Dallas (27-21)
2/12/14 - @ Brooklyn (20-25)
2/18/14 - @ Detroit (19-27) Huge Game for #8 Seed
2/19/14 - Detroit (19-27) Huge Game for #8 Seed
2/21/14 - New Orleans (20-26)
2/22/14 - Memphis (26-20)
2/28/14 - @ San Antonio (34-13)
3/2/14 - @ Oklahoma City (38-11)
3/3/14 - @ Miami (33-13)
3/5/14 - Indiana (36-10)
3/7/14 - Cleveland (16-31)
3/8/14 - @ Memphis (26-20)
3/10/14 - Denver (23-23)
In my opinion, I could unfortunately see this team very likely going only winning 2-3 of these next 15 games and if they loose both to Detroit then the hopes of the playoffs are completely done.
At that point if Charlotte goes 3-12 over the next 15 games and is sitting with a record of 24-40 at that point then do you go into complete tank mode so that you get as high of a draft pick as possible?
Interested in everyone's thoughts!
it's not taking if you're letting the young guys get experience..
Imma say we're gonna win 5! of those games. there are definitely some strong teams up ahead, but you got to win against teams like Denver and Cleveland at home, and Dallas, Detroit and New Orleans aren't that good on the road either (all 5 of these teams are sub-500 on the road, NO has won only 37.5% of their road games). as for the other games... maybe we could win one if we're lucky, but I wouldn't count on it.
I'm saying we overachieve and win 6 games.
And then just miss out on playoffs and a high draft pick, thus screwing over our future.

I think the Bobcats can scratch out 4 wins over that stretch. It's all explained in this handy graph...
Into the crevasse!
