All I heard in the offseason was how Price and MKG were going to be working hard and improve his shooting.
So far this year both his FT% and his 3pt% have decreased.
12/13 - 3pt% 22, FT% 74
13/14 - 3pt% 11, FT% 60
Those numbers are beyond bad. His shot is so broken I don't think he will ever even become a decent shooter much less a good one.
How does one even develop such a form growing up?!?
Here comes McRoberts, the throw to Walker, it's in the aaaaaiiiiirrrr, YESSSSS! Bobcats win it! My my my, Kemba Walker. Steve Martin - Toronto 12/18/2013

SOMEONE will pay for THIS!
Due to the new coach, getting the staff in, Price was quoted to say they won't break done the top of his shot until next summer. Right now he is working on his footwork and squaring up. If he still had the same issues next year and shows no improvement then we can start to worry.
Last year, for the whole season, he shot 75% from the line and 46% from the field. This year, before the broken hand, he shot around 70% from the line and 50% from the field, which seems to continue an upward trend from the beginning of last year.
In January, after coming back from his broken hand, he shot 42% from the line, and 39% from the field. I'm not Sherlock Holmes, but if someone (not you of course, someone in general) can't deduce that direct correlation, they may have to wear a helmet when they go out in public.
So far this month, it seems like he's going back to normal with 86% free throw shooting (6-7) and 60% from the field (6-10).
And as Plow said, Price said he needed a couple offseasons to attack his form fully. Someone mentioned that when they did one handed shooting, he was nailing like 15 free throws in a row. Thats because he can't swing his elbow wildly in during one hand shots. "But why can't he do it in the games then?" Great question, but its a matter of building muscle memory and turning it into instinct. During games, theres no time to think, you just go by what is natural.
You could be be right. However we wont know for sure until the end of the season. I hope I am wrong.
Face it he don't need to be starting . He clogs the lane 4 ever one. He does play good defensive ball . And seems to play well around the rim . Some times I would like to see him posting up more . We need a solid 3 that can play on both sides of the ball let MKG take some of the pressure off ,, take his time and develop a shot . I really think the kid is trying to hard and thinking way to much on offence . Some time you have to slow things down to get better . Our problem is we don't have starting s/f til he works things out . Even coming off the bench he could still get good mins and be a defensive stopper. Even if he gets no better.

A LOL thread for sure.
Who in the hell was saying bringing Price on board would instantly transform MKG's shot...and what does that say about anyone who would believe it?
I'm pretty sure that EVERYONE involved has said this was going to be a long process. Price himself said for this season he was only focusing on how he placed his feet.
Clifford said in that interview how much he valued MKG. We saw ourselves how the defense fell off in the games that he missed and how it hurt us overall. If some can only see that hitch in his shot then I don't know what else to tell you.
