Stevenson does not help this season since the Pacers are not trading him...and the activity (about the 'Cats) is probably true since GMs give feedback on that. It sounds like Cho wants a deal to help the team push for a better position...and if we're doing a rental I'd rather have Deng.
the prob with Turner is he needs the ball in his hands a lot and is not a good 3pt shooter. really do not like the kemba, hendo, turner, mkg combination.
I don't want to rent anybody. A playoff run is only really useful if it helps our team grow. I don't want somebody who isn't going to be with the team to come in and take valuable minutes away from guys that are.
The Blazers pick is going to get us a decent player on a cheap contract. We are going to have cap space to work with over the summer.
A playoff run would be nice, but if we don't make it that is not going to be the end of the world. It means we might get to keep our own pick in the draft. And if we do make the playoffs, it would be really nice to still have that Blazers pick, considering we also don't know what will happen with the Det pick.
What ever happens the future is looking pretty good without 30 games of Deng or Turner. If we get one of those guys it is really a no win situation. The new guy plays well and you have to pay him a lot. He plays poorly and you still lost the trade.
We just need to cheer for this team to go as far as it can and stay patient. The right time to make a big splash will be this summer right before we become the Hornets. Save the draft picks and cap space until then please.
