I know it's a little early, but the trade deadline talk has me thinking about several moves we could potentially make. We are set up so nicely to really make a strong push and become contenders. We just have to be careful and a little lucky.
Here is a scenario I would be happy with.
2014 Trade Deadline:
Charlotte trades Ben Gordon and PDX 1st rounder to Philadelphia for Evan Turner
This isn't necessarily a "big splash" but it seems like a good deal for us. Turner is better than what would be available at pick 26-29 and he is also better than anything else Gordon will get us at the deadline. Turner has shown flashes of his potential. I really feel like Clifford would be good for Turner. He and MKG would be a good fit and balance each other out.
Turner then resigns for 2-3 years after the season.
1st Round Pick (Detroit) - PJ Hairston, SG
PJ is a pure scorer and one of the best shooters in the draft. What he brings on the court is exactly what this team needs. However, what he potentially brings off the court is concerning. I'm willing to take the risk based on what I've seen from him.
2014 Free Agency:
Chris Bosh, PF
If Lebron really does leave Miami, I feel like Bosh will be out the door as well. We should be in a situation where we can offer a max contract and I could see us making an offer to Bosh. And honestly, at this point in the offseason we look pretty appealing to Bosh. He and Jefferson would be a phenomenal combo down low with Zeller, McRoberts, and Biz as really nice depth.
Ramon Sessions, PG
Sessions has been a solid backup PG for us and I think we resign him pretty easily in the offseason. He is a good value for his play.
Potential 2014 Lineup:
PG: Kemba Walker / Ramon Sessions
SG: Gerald Henderson / PJ Hairston
SF: Evan Turner / Michael Kidd-Gilchrist / Jeff Taylor
PF: Chris Bosh / Cody Zeller / Josh McRoberts
C: Al Jefferson / Bismack Biyombo / Brendan Haywood
We'd be a top 3 seed, easily.

i don't hate it, but i would rather cut enough to sign stephenson and bosh in your scenario. then use the draft picks to sure up the sf position offensively.
not sure how well Bosh and Al compliment each other. would rather have a beast shot blocker and rebounder to pair with AL. not ever recall a team having two dominant scoring bigs like that together.
ill take it though
Hope Resurrected: "I think I can bring an attitude to a team as far as, ‘All right, no matter what, we are not losing this game'." - Kemba Walker

"I don't care if he uses a sophisticated pulley and tackle system to get his shot off if the bitch goes in."-Mustachio
Bosh does make sense but I really don't see that ever happening. Also, that would be weird because I'm a Heat Fan too.
Sessions I definitely agree with.
Turner, that trade sounds good but I really don't think he is worth getting but I could be wrong. It would hurt my fun on draft night losing a pick.
PJ Hairston we could use ,yet I haven't seen him play much(rarely watch college..its slow and boring) but we do really need a shooter at the 2 bad.
Its no way we have the money to sign both Bosh and Stevenson , . We not going to have but about 18 million to spend , Between BG and Sessions, To sign Bosh it would take all 18 mil'.
Don't see all the hype for Sessions paying him five million . When we can sign a good back up vet. for 2 million.
If we had all those players we would be setting at around 80 million .
Pistons pick R Hood if gone PJ

Not a fan of a Turner acquisition, hate the idea of drafting Hairston in the lottery but Bosh would be a good addition. Doubt they break up the Heat though.
I'd rather hold onto the picks and try to trade up into the top 5 if possible. I don't want to add middling draft picks, we need a real stud from this one. Throw money at Lance Stephenson or Gordon Hayward I guess. I'm not really big on the available FAs this year.
