At the Michigan/Michigan State game...
I thought this was interesting for two reasons:
- I feel like we rarely hear where Cho (or any other NBA GMs) may be scouting specific college players.
- We all know how much time Cho devoted to personally devoting Zeller and, sure enough, we drafted Cody 4th overall last June.
Maybe there is a specific player on one of these rosters that he is targeting in a similar way? Both teams are chock full of prospects that may be available when we're on the clock (Stauskas? Gary Harris? Payne? GR3?)...do we think Cho is targeting one of these guys, and if so, who would be the best fit for our roster?
Personally, I love Stauskas' game and would love to see him in a Hornets jersey.
Gary Harris is a very real possibility with the Detroit pick, but that game had enough NBA prospects that it's worth any executive's time to attend.
If anyone I'd guess probably Gary Harris
Well, Harris, but also Glenn Robinson III, who could fall to us in the second round.

I really hope he isn't targeting anyone at this stage. It does appear to be a tendency of his.
We all know about his close monitoring of Cody ... But it's the way he locked into Biz early on and followed him all the way up the draft board that still bothers me.

Payne or Stauskas with the Portland pick.
I saw the thread title and expected to hear stories of Rich Cho making it rain at the strip club....
But instead I leave with disappointment
j/k good info :-)

I used Biz as a case in point because I got the feeling that Cho felt Biz was his guy from early on, when he was talked about in the latter part of the first round, and followed him all the way to the 7th pick of the draft. Now I like Biz as a man, I like what he brings to the court on Defence, I like that he is showing signs of an Offensive game, but he was not good value at 7. It almost seemed as though Cho was locked onto him and lost sight of his true value.
It could entirely be in my head, but when I hear even the suggestion of someone being targeted this early in the College season it worries me.
