Default Tyrus Thomas

On PTI today, Kornheiser mentioned that Larry Brown said that Tyrus Thomas was worthy of a #1 pick. Damn! I knew that he was climbing up the draft boards, with the way hes played in the tournament, but I think its way too early to project him as an overall #1 pick. Right now he looks more like Marvin Williams ( a young extremely raw spectacular athlete that still needs some to develop his basketball skills ) than Amare Stoudamire ( ready for the NBA on day 1 ).
Opinions?

He could be no doubt he is excellent defender I think Atlanta will pick him up or Sheldon Williams. I don\'t see us passing up on a scorer when we already drafted big twice in May and Emeka along with Preomo and Ely on the team.

I found a [url/msnbc.msn.com/id/12080938/]good article on Tyrus Thomas. If the Bobcats wound up drafting him, where would he fit into our lineup? At Small Forward moving Gerald Wallace to shooting guard?

I\'d say that Tyrus Thomas is more of an inside player, an athletic rebounder and shot blocker. Rudy Gay on the other hand has fantastic athleticism, but I think he has more of a perimeter game. Both are talented players, I\'d say that because of the makeup of the Bobcats that Gay would fill the need better, but in the long run Thomas could be the better player.

Ok thanks I just want us to pick up someone that can help us get to the next level. Our top picks are Gay, Ammo and Thomas.

Default Tyrus Thomas the next Stromile or Amare???

Tyrus Thomas is all the way up to #3 over at [url/draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=511]draftexpress.
In my opinion hes still a huge risk in spite of his athleticism. Is there anybody here that convince me that he\'ll be the next Amare Stoudamire instead of the next Stromile Swift?

He has freakish hops. I\'d say hes much closer to Stoudamire than to Swift. Hes going to have to hit the weights though.

Its official Tyrus Thomas is taking his game [url/sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2006/news/story?id=2411388] to the NBA.
I think hes going to be the biggest risk/reward pick in this year\'s draft. He could be a superstar or a superbust.
