Once Hansbrough decides to make the move to the NBA, he\'ll be a prototype power foward. IF he can add just another 10 or 15 pounds of bulk without losing his quickness, he\'ll handle NBA competition with no problem.
There was talk about Hansbrough entering the NBA draft after the strong freshman year that he had with the Tarheels. Hes decided however to [url/sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/news;_ylt=ApeXxxT0wbUI0QE.wyTWiq3evbYF?slug=ap-northcarolina-hansbrough&prov=ap&type=lgns]return to school[/url]. In my opinion, he needs another year at least before hes ready for the NBA, hes a little small for NBA power forward, and he doesn\'t have the floor skills or quickness to play NBA small forward.
He made a good decision.
NBADraft.net is by no means a great predictor of what will happen, but in the 2007 NBA draft, they have him projected at around #20 in the first round.
Truth is it, this year\'s draft is so weak that he probably would have gone higher than 20 this year, but if he is projected at 20 next year, maybe the NBA isn\'t as high on him as college is.
