We go after Rudy Gay or Morrison and we will have to scorers that could help us.

If the Bobcats have to settle for the draft because they can\'t trade the pick for someone already in the NBA, then I\'d rather they take Rudy Gay who has the most potential on the wing, although I still don\'t think his upside is as good as Gerald Green\'s.

Morrison is that stiff, upright type player whose not too flashy, and I\'m not saying this just because he\'s a white guy, but his game could end up being like Larry Bird\'s was, or he could end up like Tom Gugliotta.

The Bobcats need wing players. They don\'t need any more inside players. They need a good shooting guard because Matt Carroll and Jumaine Jones are role players. They need a 2 guard who can blossom into a star. That\'s not Morrison, he\'s not a 2. Rudy Gay would be incompatible with Gerald Wallace, in my opinion.

Gerald Green could be a Tracy McGrady type 2.

Gerald Green is not better than Rudy Gay let me tell you that. I gurantee we will get a SG threw FA this offseason.

I wouldn\'t be surprised to see a lot of trading of picks going on this year, because this draft is so weak that it\'s not even worth wasting a lot of money on these guys coming out.

Hopefully the Bobcats will realize that and trade their pick and a player or two to another team for a good young player.
On the surface it doesn\'t look too impressive but its drafts like this where the quality GMs seperate theirselves from the rest of the pack, They have to find the diamonds in the rough out of these group of players. For example Brandon Roy, he doesn\'t get a lot of hype, but he has a lot of qualities that could make him a star at the pro level.
We\'ll see what kind of GM skills Bickerstaff has with the way that he handles this draft.
You may be on to something with Brandon Roy, If he were an east coast player and was on a team that was on TV every weekend, they\'d probably be hyping him up as the next Dwyane Wade by now. With that being said though, I still beilieve that we could trade down and get him in th 5 to 10 range.

I thought I made it clear that I was talking about \"potential.\"

Heck, look at players like Jason Capel who peaked coming out of High School, so they were ranked in the top 10 in High School and fell off of the map in college because they peaked too early and the other players surpassed them.

Gay hasn\'t peaked yet, but Gerald Green is no where close to peaking, and his upside is still better than Rudy Gay\'s because of the skills that Green possesses.

He is every bit as athletic as Rudy Gay, with more of a stroke. Plus he seems to have the intangibles that Gay does not. Gay is one of those thinkers, that\'s why he disappeared during the NCAA tournament. I think Green has that killer mentality that T-Mac has, and that\'s what I want along with his skills and potential.

It seems to me that a lot of people just want to take what\'s in the Draft just because it is the draft and they get caught all up in the pageantry and the hoopla of Draft Day.

From a business perspective, the players in this year\'s draft are not worth a top-five pick. The Bobcats would be better served getting a 2 guard from somewhere else. They don\'t need a 6\'8 player like Rudy Gay or Brian Morrison whose games are taylored for the 3, and then Morrison isn\'t all that athletic either.

If they are going to get a 6\'8 guy, he should be a 2 guard, like Gerald Green. Of course, it\'s harder to get someone like that from another team, but it can be done. The Bobcats have more than enough players they can dump and a high enough draft pick to make it interesting.:woohoo:

It\'ll take some luck to put together a deal to get Green. The Bobcats would have to wind up with a #1 or #2 pick and the Celtics would have to wind up low in the lottery. The Bobcats blew their shot at him last season, they could have picked him up at #13 instead of Sean May. Felton / Green / Wallace / Okafor at the 1/2/3/4 spot would have been a real nice foundation.

I see us getting rid of Ely and BK over the offseason. We could get Peja he goes on the market this offseason and he is a leathal shooter something we don\'t have on our roster.

If they could get Peja in free agency, that still doesn\'t preven them from not wasting a high draft pick on this year\'s class. They could still get Green.

I agree. May is a great talent, but he isn\'t durable enough. That\'s just a fact.
