Default Where should JJ Redick be drafted?

There are lot of people that have been smoking the crack with Dick Vitale that think that Redick is going to be a star when he gets to the NBA, I personally just can\'t see it. fr a shooting guard, hes too slow, and lacks the atleticism to really do anything but fill in for spot minutes here or there. I\'m going to say that he DOES deserve to be drafted in the first round, because his jumper is as beautiful as Halle Berry in a thong bikini and a pair of red pumps, but he is NOT lottery material.
I\'ll say he deserves to be drafted around #21, but I think somebody will reach and draft him in the 13 - 15 range.

    opinions?

You never know but he is not a top 10 pick IMO as far as a SG. If he was a small forward he would be a top 10 pick but with the most athletic guards in the league he might have trouble. I could see him being drafted by the Lakers.

I had to sit back and visualize that for a while.... OK, back to reality. Sombody is going to take him between 5 and 10, But It better not be the Bobcats.
I would say that he probably deserves to go anywhere from 12 to 15.

He\'s not going to be any worse than Morrison.

If I\'m the Rockets, I have the 8th or 9th pick and JJ is there, I take him. He\'s perfect for the Rockets.

But if I\'m the Celts and I have the 8th or 9th pick, I pass on him as he doesn\'t fit.

It depends on who picks where.

JJ, will probably be drafted somewhere in the top 15, But he SHOULD be picked somewhere around 25 at best. Theres no way he can guard the shooting guard position in the NBA.

If you\'re the Rockets sitting there at the 8th pick, are you picking Redick over Rodney Carney and Ronnie Brewer?
DraftExpress has all three sitting there at the 8th pick. I have a hard time seeing Redick picked over either of those 2 under any circumstances. My 2 cents, anyway.

    Rockets need a pure shooter.

    That aint Brewer.

Rockets need someone who can be a 3rd option on offense and will still work hard without the ball.

That ain\'t Carney (he\'s better suited as the #1 or #2 option at least - he needs the rock).

JJ fits what the Rockets need. If I am the Rockets, the Wolves and maybe even the Magic and JJ is there, I take him (Wolves and Magic should take Gay if he is still there, but he wont be)

Check out this link from [url/www.draftexpress.com/viewarticle.php?a=1300]draftexpress[/url]

Go down to the section thats titled Redick -vs- Roy.

It looks like Redick\'s agent is trying to keep JJ from participating in any competitive workouts... Maybe JJ is scared that hes going to get his defensive liabilites exposed.

    The kid is crazy.

After watching how much Gerald Green\'s try out stipulations hurt his stock last year, you\'d think Redick would be a little smarter.

Its always a bad situation when agents give the players this kind of boneheaded advice. In my opinion if you are trying to convince a GM to use their high draft pick on you, then you have to go the workout and earn the right to be picked by them.
Imagine how his stock would have risen if he worked out against Brandon Roy and was able to contain him defensively. He would be able to prove a lot of doubters ( and I\'m at the head of that list ) wrong.
