LaMarcus Aldridge concerns

Hes a potential #1 draft pick on a lot of mock drafts. I know hes 6\'11 with a 70+ inch wingspan, he has some skills and loads of potential ( with a nagging rap of being a little bit soft. ) Does that remind you of any other former top pick?
How about Michael Olowakandi? To me, LMA seems to have a lot in common with the Kandi-Man. Is anybody else concerned about Aldridge, or am I just being paranoid about this potential Bobcat draftee?

Damn... Olowakandi was a bust of EPIC proportions, He was the Titanic / Posedian / Towering Inferno of #1 draft picks all wrapped up in one.
I\'ve had gripes about Bickerstaff\'s coaching, but I have to grudgingly admit that hes done a good job in the draft and player evaluation
I know, that whole Sean May over Gerald Green pick last year was real questionable,
but I\'m trusting that they\'ll do a solid job evaluating Aldridge, to determine if hes a fraud masquerading as a top draft pick.

You have a right to be concerned about LMA..
This is a dude who had nine games where he scored less than 10 points,

5pts vs LSU\'s Thomas and Davis
4pts vs Kanasas\' front line
9pts and 5pts respectively vs Texas A&M
12pts vs Memphis
9pts vs Oklahoma State

Thats not the kind of production that you want from a guy whos being considered as a #1 pick.

I don\'t see Bernie even looking at Aldridge that hard seeing as we have drafted big two years now I see us handling the wing position in this years draft.

I hope you\'re right, I see him being another Olowakandi or a Joe Smith type of player. The bobcats don\'t need to get stuck with a draft pick like that

The video shows the good and the bad. It shows the blocks & rebounds, but it also shows a lot of soft shots and shows him getting pushed around by Big Baby.
Maybe he\'ll show some skills in his predraft workouts that haven\'t been apparent to me, but everytime I\'ve watched him play ( not just this video clap ) he hasn\'t shown me anything that makes me think he deserves top 3 draft status.
It would really make me feel a lot better if hes off the board by the time the Bobcats pick at #3.

It might be a tactical move on LMA\'s part basically sending a message to the Blazers that he doesn\'t want them to draft him.

I don\'t agree with it, to me it shows potential weakness and a fear of showing downfalls in his game.

I\'d still be stoked if we took him at #3 though.

I can\'t wait to get him in for a tryout.
