Ely and Jones

Your opinions, Melvin Ely and Jumaine Jones. Whos staying and whos going?

With the Bobcats signing Othella Harrington, I\'d say that Melvin Ely is going either thru sign and trade or getting away with nothing in return. I\'m guessing that Jumaine Jones stays, but I haven\'t heard anything at all about the Bobcats re-signing him.

I agree Ely is not staying but I\'m not really sure about Jones if we signed Withers than I would say he was leaving but we havent signed any SF but he is staying.

If we end up losing Jones and Ely I think we should bring in Withers and Fischer.
Those would be 2 pretty nice pick ups.

Fischer could probably get some minutes this year if they signed him. He looked a lot better in the summer league than Ryan Hollins did. I\'d like for them to sign Withers so they could stash him away in the NBDL next season. I think he has a lot of potential down the road.

Any word on Brett Blizzard?

Nothing yet on Blizzard but I\'m keeping my fingers crossed we sign him.

Dont think we will sign Jones or Ely . Not keeping Ely is a big mistake. The 5 is where we week at. Premo being the only true 5 we have . Hate to say this but he would be a back up on most teams.
Hollins is not ready yet to play at this level.
That means OK50 will see a lot of playing time at the 5.But that could be a good thing if he can stand all the physical play.

I still think the line-up will be

1-Felton
2-Wallace
3-Morrison
4-Okafor
5-Brezec

If we dont re-sign Ely then we should really consider signing Fischer. He spend last year in a Developmental league last year and could be a solid back-up at the 5.
If we dont re-sign Jones then Withers or Herman could be a good back-up at the 3. I know that Withers is more of a post player but he can spread the floor and hit come jump shots. We could use him at the 4 sometimes too, and he can get us a lot of rebounds when his in. Herman can probably shoot better from outside than Withers, but doesnt have as good as a post game.
If we were to sign one of them I would lean more towards Withers. For the fact that the can post, and can hit some jump shots.

Bench would be Knight, Berleson, Anderson, Robinson, Caroll, Withers, Fischer, Harrington, May, and Hollins
