Dwight Howard or Dwayne Wade?

If you\'re a GM and could start your franchise today with either of these two players, Who would you take?

Most people would probably take Wade since he practically willed the Miami Heat to a championship a few months ago, but I\'m going the opposite route and taking Dwight Howard. Seeing the way that he played late last season and the way that hes been killing people on the US team, I\'m predicting that in 2 years he\'ll dominate the NBA the way that Shaq did when he was 27 or 28 years old.

He\'ll be completely unstoppable.

I\'d rather have Howard as well. But I don\'t think he\'ll be as good as a 27 or 28 year old shaq. I\'m not trying to disrespect Wade either. He\'d be the first guard I\'d take.

Dwight Howard is an athletic freak, and he potentially could be an amazing player, BUT Dwyane Wade is an amazing player TODAY.
Wade is a player that can carry a team to an NBA Championship, you can trust him to hit the clutch shot when the game is on the line. As amazing as Dwight Howard MIGHT become, he is extremely dependent on others getting him the ball, so the level of dominance that he reaches really depends on how adept his guards become at feeding him.

Give me Dwight Howard to start my team with. If Wade didn\'t get those 6 or 7 phantom free throws courtesy of the refs each game then he\'d be an ordinary run of the mill 17ppg scorer.
