    Default Analyzing the stats

After 3 games, these are a few things that I\'ve noticed after looking at the [url/sports.yahoo.com/nba/teams/cha/stats]stats at Yahoo[/url].

Sean May is giving us 8.3 rebounds per game in only 26 minutes a game. He needs to be getting more minutes. In addition to that hes shooting 51.7% from the field.

Bernard Robinson is getting 12 minutes a game to Matt Carroll\'s 11. I don\'t understand that at all. Bernard hasn\'t shown us much of anything when hes been on the court.

Emeka is shooting 45.7% from the field. I\'d like to see him shoot a better percentage than that, but its still a lot better than I thought it was. and his 4.3 blocks per game is crazy.

Brevin Knight leads the team in minutes with 36+ a game.

Adam is hit the boards at a rate of 1.7 rebounds per game. I love his offense, but I\'d like to see him around 3 rebounds per game by the end of the season

Sean May definatly deserves to be getting 30+ minutes a game with the stats he\'s putting up.
Bernard Robinson doesnt deserve 10+ minutes a game.
Knight doesnt need to be our leader in minutes per game.
Hopefully Morrison can get that rebound avg up to 3-4 per game.
I like the way Emeka\'s playing so far. Especially the blocks. If he could get that fg% up just a little bit that would be great, and he needs to cut down on the fouls per game.

Sean May is kicking ass and he needs to be in the starting lineup. Hes even giving us 2 blocks per game.
I\'ve bashed Sean May as much as anyone in the past... OK I\'ll be honest, MORE than anyone else:P But I\'ll be the first to admit that hes playing great and he needs 30+ minutes a game.

Do I get some kind of reward for knowing May had it in him all along? Soon, I won\'t have to make these post about May\'s ability.

...looking back on all my posts you\'d think I was his mom or something trying to get him all the attention. I\'m not that, just slightly obsessed with the ball player. Heck, give him 48 minutes!

I think that they are just being cautious with Sean. His minutes will go up as the season goes on. Dissapointed in Felton not getting more minutes, but I think that his will go up as the season goes on too. If they don\'t then we really need to get a coach that can see what\'s going on.

sean may doesn\'t have the conditioning to play 30+ plus he has a pretty solid backup in othella harrington who should be getting more minutes himself.

    need more offensive rebounding

I agree. I\'d give him roughly 30 minutes a game, splitting PF and SF position. Okafor should be our full time Center, with Voskhul getting about 20 minutes a game. Harrington and Ely should get the remainder of the PF minutes that May does not get/is in another position.

AMMO needs 35 minutes, same goes for Okafor, Felton, and Wallace.
Knight deserves about 20 minutes, while Carroll needs about 10-15. Robinson=5 minutes max. Once Anderson becomes un-injured, he deserves to get about 10\'ish minutes.

I would say that Anderson and Carroll should get some time in together on the court, since they\'re deadly with the 3\'s. Sometime Bernie ought to try the lineup of:

    Felton
    Anderson
    Wallace
    Morrison
    May

This might be successful if they run the ball like the suns do. These are energy players who can shoot the 3 or drive. I\'d have Felton drive that lane continuously, and if the D tries to shut the lane down, knock that ball out to nearly any one of them. THis is only theoretical and to be used in minutes to rock the boat/if we\'re struggling. We\'ve got to try SOMETHING if success does not come.

On another note, we\'re doing great on team defense(allowing the league low oppenents FG %) but we\'re the 4th worst in offensive rebounding. It makes me sick.
