I\'m a Best Buy Mobile Install Supervisor (wow long title). I\'m also a student and have my own side business building pc\'s.

    I\'m a sophmore(woulda been a junior if I hadn\'t transferred) at Devry.

Just curious, do you build any linux PCs?

And if that question didn\'t give you a clue to my job, I\'m an Information Technology developer/geek.

I have from time to time, but it\'s not my specialty. The most extensive work on Linux that I\'ve done has been on Knoppix. I\'ve used it mostly for data recoveries. I like that it bypasses Microsoft\'s \"security\" and can copy over everything from the PE shell via network. (former geek Squad agent.....was also a senior there too)

I\'ve also worked a bit with mandrake.

Congrats on the IT developing and geekiness. I am a geek and am studying Network and communications management. I am an 8 pc geek :P

Networking is a good field and unlike many other IT jobs its immune to offshoring. They have to keep the network guys onshore.
I haven\'t tried Knoppix, I\'ve worked some with Mandrake and Suse. I\'m thinking about getting a nice desktop in a few months but I don\'t necessarily want windows on it.
