Networking is a good field and unlike many other IT jobs its immune to offshoring. They have to keep the network guys onshore.
I haven\'t tried Knoppix, I\'ve worked some with Mandrake and Suse. I\'m thinking about getting a nice desktop in a few months but I don\'t necessarily want windows on it.
