I think they can get more from a BK/Ely combination (I'd rther have picks).
Of course with Brevin having veto power over any deal that hes involved with, we might get stuck with a deal like this if we want to move him.

Marcus Banks would be a good back-up to Felton. But his contract is soo bad, with 5 years around 20 million. James Jones has 2 years left, with a player option in the third. It has a reasonable price but, I don't believe we need him badly, since we already have Matt Carroll, who can do the same(even better) job. This team needs a scorer and they also need to resolve the point guard situation. Critics claim Brevin Knight as a cancer not a veteran leader, perhaps it is because he is 31. His numbers are solid and he should hold value to a team needing an experienced backup.
The Cats want youth and they will find it in a trade discussion with the Suns. Knight is losing his welcome and fast, but in Phoenix he would back the leagues MVP in Steve Nash. Marcus Banks isnt being played and that remains a mystery because last season he was starting for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Banks is explosive and hed like the opportunity to play. On this team that opportunity will come as a backup with plenty of touches. Felton and Banks would make a nice backcourt and a young one at that.
Melvin Ely could be swung at the Suns in the return of a draft pick or James Jones. James Jones is a shooter with a touch of defense and rebounding. This team needs a shooter and Jones might excel in a role as a spot up 3-point shooter. Jones played with Reggie Miller making him a potential steal and Phoenix could use a big man in the form of a shot-blocking center. The trade cost little to anything considering the fact that Ely hardly plays.
Bernie Bickerstaff is looking for a shooter and as a third team in any Iverson deal he cold land one this week. Rumor has James Jones on Bernie Bickerstaffs radar and what other trade looks this affordable when it comes to adding a shooting presence.

We can get better players with that combination, I think.

I'd take Jumaine back before getting James Jones, and both have similar value on the suns Bench. THe Suns don't care much for draft picks, and those 2 dealt might land us a 1st rounder.
Knight probably wouldn't fit their system of run-and-gun.
Banks could compete with Felton for the starting job, and could be good for the team.
James Jones...no thanks.
I think Bernie may be pushed into pushing BK onto a contender with his age. But, with the man love being mutual, who knows?
