Ok, so we're 5 games out of 8th place in the east with 49 games left.
Here are the teams in our way:
8th: Milwaukee 5 games ahead - Lost their top 2 scorers(Redd, Mo Williams) for 4-6 weeks and 2-3 weeks, so they're due for a collapse. 5-5 in last 10, but have lost 4 in a row.
9th: Miami 4.5 games ahead - Old, injured, and only have d-wade to carry team. That's a recipe for disaster. Let's just hope Shaq doesn't have any impact for season. 4-6 last 10.
10th: New Jersey - 4.5 games ahead - No inside scoring, Kidd has outside troubles, Vince Carter doesn't care, and they have Bernard Robinson. They could go either way. 5-5 last 10, but they are a time bomb in Jersey.
11th: New York - 4 games ahead - It's New York! They have Isaiah, so he'll screw up somewhere and collapse. 6-4 in last 10, but won't last.
12. Boston - 1.5 games ahead - young, and have no Paul pierce. I see a gutter and a high lotto pick in future. 2-8 in last 10.
13. Atlanta - tied with us. They just suck. 1-9 in last 10.
14. US! We finally seem to have a bit of consistancy. We can beat tough teams. All we need to do is bring that "A" game, every game. We could pull it off.
All in all, I see all those teams with potential collapses. They have so many damn risks with health/chemistry/anything else that we could slide in there with how weak our division is.
Who's going to get some optimism and hope with me
