Default Brandan Wright -vs- Joakim Noah

We've beaten Oden -vs- Durant to death. Let me throw a new question at you. Say we wind up with the 3rd pick in the draft. Who would you rather have Brandan Wright or Joakim Noah and tell me why.

i'd rather have brandan wright any day of the week, not just cuz i'm a unc fan. the kid is freakishly athletic and has something like a 7'5'' wingspan. he has an awesome pull up j from within 12 feet that is useful on the break. he needs to obviously put on a lot of weight and hit the weight room and work on his FTs and jumper, but he runs like a gazelle and can throw down with the best of him. the sky is the limit for him. he has barely scratched the surface of what he can be

joakim noah is more of finished product and probably will not improve as much b. wright, i also am not a fan of noah's offensive game. he can't really score in the half court at all, he seems to live off of good passes and dunks and offensive rebounds to score. sounds a lot like young okafor. noah is definitely more nba ready, but right now the cats can afford to take on a project like wright cuz he could end up being like KG

Noah has never, ever, EVER impressed me. If he doesn't have talent around him, I don't think he can thrive. He's a match stick that will be good in college, but nothing else.

Joakim Noah = Eddie Griffin minus the off court issues.

Brandan Wright = Antawn Jamison with better defense.

neither... you guys are arguing that noah is only good because he has great players around him.

like unc doesnt have great players... they probally have all around better basketball players at every position. feeding him the ball... so neither one to me, has proven anything that makes me wanna jump out and draft them.

that being said brandon wright has a lot of upside and a lot of wingspan and what not... so id give him the edge.

that being said. i swear to whatever god you worship im am selling my season tickets, my gear, my screen name on this site...everything if we draft another unc player on this damn team. not to mention its a nother power forward.

if we get the 3rd pick trade down for chase budinger

I would have to go with Joakim, he is a proven leader on the court and his numbers don't really tell you what he means to his basketball team at Florida. Noah really brings the whole Florida basketball team together and is a proven winner (National Championship) Wright is a very solid player with a lot of potential but really needs to get his weight up.

I agree with you that I don't want Brandon Wright either man.... We have no need for him. I just don't want Noah because I think he feeds too much off of his other teammates.

I absolutely agree with getting ourselves a wildcat, either Chase Budinger/Marcus Williams.

Wright or Noah . I would take Wright over Noah but as good as the bigs are in this draft you have to take one if you have a top six draft .
We going to be able to get a top sg /sf with that 16th or 17th pick we get.
I just think most of the guys that are sg/ sf will still be around with that 2nd pick. I would all so put both picks toghter along with Adam just to move up two the second pick.

Wright has all this hype but I haven't seen a thing that impresses me about him at all.

    Hansborough looks better than him.

Noah is pretyt "blah" too but at least Noah is more active than Wright

Hansborough looks better than Wright . That statment i cant belive you made. Dont get me wrong i love the way Hans plays . Hes one of the tough guys. But the fact is hes just 6.8 hes slow, his feet are slow. he cant jump just gets good position. Has and will continue to have problems guarding and scoring on guys 6.10 or better. In the N.B.A. he will have truble geting adjusted to the bigger players
A spart plug coming off the beanch at best.
Wright still a freshman 6.10 with a 7.5 wing span. [ THATS A BIGER WING SPAN THAN SAM PERKINS ] Has a good hook with both hands and can hit the 12 foot jumper faceing up. Needs to work on other low post moves but hes just a freshman. Hes proved to be above ave rebounder. And with that 7.5 wing span he blocks shots to . This kid has a lot of up side and at worst will be a NBA starter

    Thanks Ammofan!

Hansborough looks better than Wright today. I'm not talking about future and potential.

Hansborough is a fighter - Wright is timid.

Hansborough inforces his will on a game - Wright is a passenger.

I really enjoyed watching Hansborough and McRoberts go at it the other week. Two really physical guy's pounding the snot out of each other.

    Great stuff.

Don't see the use for Wright as long as we have McMay on the roster.
