May's career is likely a wash.

He doesn't have much cartilage left in his knee. That's not something that's going to ever change.

He played too heavy for Roy's run & gun.

He's pretty talented, especially now that he's added a reliable jumper but he's never going to be able to play more than 40 games a season.

It's also a stretch to think that he'll ever be able to slim down since he's pretty limited when it comes to doing cardio.

I wouldn't extend him under really any circumstance

Since we all seem to agree that May is never going to be healthy enough to play more than 40 or 50 games a season, what are our options with him?

I agree with rallydurham that we SHOULD NOT extend him under any cicumstances.

Maybe he can put together a 20 game stretch early next season that could convince another team to take a chance on him in a trade.

other than that, I don't see how Sean May's situation can end up positively

Heres the latest from Sean May that I just read on charlotte.com

    http://charlotte.com/140/story/35204.html

May told the Observer he'll miss at least four more games, the rest of this six-game West Coast trip.
May has been out since a Jan. 26 game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He had two procedures last season to remove torn cartilage in that knee, and cartilage acts as the body's shock absorber in joints.

May said each time he tests the knee in a hard practice, there's a setback the next day.

"It's not excruciating enough where I can't play,'' May said, "but when I do play in practice, I can't move the next day.''

It looks like we stuck with him . But its no way to know how bad off he really is because the BOBCATS web site dont let its fans know nothing.
I think if the BOBCATS INVESTED A 100 K a year for some one to run the site right it would more than pay for its self in less than a year .
ZIGGY your site makes the BOBCATS SITE . look like a first grader runs it . You have a class site and its the best BOBCATS site ive ever seen.
THANKS ZIGGY great site. IF you like this site let ZIGGY KNOW

Thanks dav7z, That would be a cool job to run their site, but theres no way that they'd let me do it. I have way too much fun picking on Bob Johnson and joking about Sean May's Krispy Kreme habit for that to happen.

That's a horrible trade for the Bobcats. Why duplicate what we already have in Crash?

I'd rather send the Fat Man to the Hawks for Chill. Like Dav7z said: "I dont think any one has a idea how good he can be" and short of "maybe" Vince and JRich, I'd rather have Chill than any other potentially expensive FA (Twan or Lewis for eg).

The other thing with Chill is that when we would have to renegotiate his contract outside of his rookie deal, he wouldn't cost the earth.

His style of game would suit our curent roster to perfection.

Agreed, it's way to much fun to pick on the team. You'd get canned in a week for trashing Bernie.

    Love the site.

I would give up our 2nd first round pick in a second to get Chill . I think it would benefit both teams. Dam its a deep draft but Chill is a perfect fit for the BOBCATS . like SLAM said.

Agreed, but is a steep price to trade for with a team in our division.
