    Default Jermaine O'neal anyone?

    Hello Bobcat fans,
The trade deadline has passed and the Pacers are a very boring team these days, so i need to come up with ideas to keep my basketball cravings satisfied. So, word is that J.O. will demand a trade this summer. How would some of you Bobcat fans feel about landing him? If interested, can you come up with some trade ideas? Do any of you know off of the top of your head that if both teams need to be under the cap or just one to keep from having make the salaries match up?
    Thanks,
    Erik

    Erik, Welcome to BobcatsPlanet

I'm not sure of what we could put together for Jermaine O'Neal, but would you be willin to trade Danny Granger for an overweight, undersized, often injured PF with bad knees... I guess not?
We're still beating ourseves over the head for not taking Granger or Gerald Green instead of Sean May

Don't like Jermiane, his attitude, his salary or his history of injuries.

I'd pass (unless you were giving him away for scraps - which you wouldn't)

I would like to have a local baller on the bobcats squad (jermaine is from columbia, sc eau claire high school) plus he is a great player and would defenitly give us a superstar on this team along with oaknasty and g-force

him being from SC is why i posted the idea here. he want's to go to a championship contender, but i could see him wanting to play for you guys. i have seen articles of how he is highly involved with the community in his hometown.

I would definitely consider it. I think if he came here without a ton of headcases on the team he would work in well. Hell, we'd have the most dominant frontcourt around next to anybody but the suns or mavs. Of course, I guess many teams that added J.O. could say the same thing.

Sure, I would love to add him, as long as May got traded off in the package.

Would he come over here? Maybe, but I sure as hell know he won't decline his $19 mil option. Second thing is, would Charlotte spend money on him? Possibly, because he is one of our 2 biggest needs; only thing is we'd have to give up too much to get him. He is the Pacers franchise player and all so scraps certainly wouldn't do.

Brevin, AMMO, May and one of our 2 first rounders for O'Neal

O'neal = 19.7 million While Knight, AMMO, May, and the first rounder will roughly = $14 million. They get a quality point to replace/insurance for Tinsley, get the scorer they lack after Stephen Jackson left, May has potential to play decent/be released after next year, and the draft pick in this years draft is a highly prized treat.

Think this deal could be made?

On another note. I know it's heresy to think it, but if we traded Felton in this deal to get a good player back (Murphy, Diogu, etc) along with a pick, then we in turn signed Mo Williams to run the point? He's played with Crash so he should be able to give some insight. He's also only 24 and put it together, so what might people think, if this was the difference maker in getting J.O. and someone else? (barring we get williams and crash resigns)

don't want him. definitely one of the most overrated players in the game. offensively challenged version of emeka okafor. bad attitude. in his prime right now, only going to go downhill from here.

If not O'Neal, what would the price of either Mehmet Okur or Carlos Boozer run?
on 2nd thought, why don't we just sign Anderson Varajao? Beast on the boards and doesn't need the ball. Put him at center and the lanes are officially clogged.
