    Default Rodney Stuckey

DraftExpress has us taking him at #22. They describe this small school scorer as a player that reminds them of Dwyane Wade and Ben Gordon. Hes supposedly one of those players with a natural knack for putting the ball in the basket.

Has anyone here seen him play?

I haven't, but I've always heard great things about him, and would not mind if we traded down to get an extra pick yet draft him, or even drafting him with Toronto's pick in the first place.

I've heard he's quick and he's very good defensively, which is something we could definitely use. It also fills a huge need: 1. A combo guard who is large enough to play SG but with good enough ball handling to be a backup point, AND a player who is quick and can make offense for himself.

I like what i've heard and read about, I'd just like to get some game footage of him.

i saw that too on draftexpress, and he seems to have the total package both on offense and defense. however, adam morrison dominated mid major competition during college and struggled to adjust to the nba game. however, morrison isnt very athletic, and it seems like stuckey may be more athletic

Defense, athleticism, and passing skills are easier to translate to NBA success than pure scoring ability, ala Adam Morrison.

I'd be ecstatic if we drafted Stuckey, and he averaged about 14 points, 4 boards and 5 assists per game, about a 44% shootin average with roughly a 35% 3pt - all the while providing consistant shutdown defense and versatility at the guard spots.

While it's not his "25 points a game" stat, all the other help would translate into NBA success.

Stuckey looks to be good but ive never seen him play . I would still take Young or Williams over him. I think Young may be the best scorer in this years draft. And Williams can play three positions and is one of the most gifted players in the draft with a lot of up side.I think i would take either over Stuckey.

If both are gone, I'd take him over Daequan Cook.

    ?

Stuckey averaged 24.6ppg, 4.7 boards, 5.5 assists and 2.4 steals this season.

Sorry, let me clarify. I'm saying that while he may not be a 25 PPG scorer like he was in college, the rest (passing, boards, and shutdown defense) will likely translate into the NBA and would help the team out.
