Default Sports Illustrated's take on the lottery teams.

Here is what they had to say about the Bobcats
    Charlotte Bobcats

It boggles the mind to think what sort of team this could be if it could stay healthy. Sean May's name initially springs to the front of the boggled mind, the sort of all-around scorer who could make life heaps easier for the league's 26th-ranked offense, but he has played only 58 games in two seasons (career averages of 10.4 points and 6.7 boards in 21 minutes). Emeka Okafor looks like he needs help getting out of the back of a cab, and Primoz Brezec hasn't looked up to NBA speed all season. Get that frontcourt right, do something creative with Gerald Wallace's impending free agency as well as all that cap room, and take advantage of that likely top 10 draft pick, and there's no reason why this team (health permitting, of course) shouldn't contend for a playoff spot next season.

    I agree.

Go out and get JR Smith from Denver in free agency, get a center to play beside Okafor and they'll be smoking next season.

JR Smith would set this place back to square one (see Kareem Rush)

He's the very LAST thing we need.

Don't you think though that moving Okafor to PF hurts his game? For his size, he owns the paint. That can't be gotten from many many bigger Centers in the league. On ESPN they called him an "elite" shot blocker. How does he do that at PF? Just wondering because I really don't get it. I know he's not the quintessential Shaq-type defensive center, but he's pretty good! Shaq's are few, as all the Oden tankers know.

So my thinking is a starting PF and SG are needed most next year, not a Center, although we need quality depth at all frontcourt positions. Bring on Corey Brewer or Nick Young; maybe sign Antawn Jamison. See if Sean May can play, if he can that's huge. Stay away tho from VC and Rashard Lewis.

...just where I am....I really really don't like to see OK50 at PF much...**shrugs**

I agree with Slam; JR Smith would not be good for this team.

Good the see SI recognize the talent and potential on the Bobcats..even with the injury bug. I sure wish the Cats could figure out how to avoid that.

Tim Duncan most closely resembles Okafor in size, weight, athleticism and defensive presence, and he plays PF, NOT center. A stellar PF is just as worthwhile as that Center.

Get a Diop or a Dampier type that just does defense and keep Okafor at PF, he creates more mismatches that way. If we can find a stud PF somewhere (see Al Horford in the draft or Antawn Jamison in FA) then I'm all for moving Oaknasty to the C spot. But Okafor best uses his talents in the PF spot (he averaged more blocks, boards, and assists with less TO and fouls in roughly the same amount of games)

J.R. Smith would not fit this team because he's a punk. The talent is there, the work ethic and attitude is not. I'd prefer someone else like Nick Young, Corey Brewer(if he can play SG, or Marcus Williams)

JR Smith no. there really is no free agent out there that i think can help this team for the right amount of money.

I say stay the course Bobcats! draft young and build through solid financial moves. Like everyone said... I think the obvious glaring hole is either a Steady healthy talented PF or C. whichever will help okafor. anybody who can take some of the abuse in the paint will help him... right now we aint got anything reliable.

I think we are ok at SG. Between Morrison and Carrol... i think we got a good tandem going. SF is on lock too... Gerald and Herman. PG would be very much bolstered by Corey Brewer (who we will likely be selecting in this years draft) and Raymond can only get better next year. So i think we can thrive with the current roster if we just get some depth to replace the alan andersons and such and Get some solid help down in the paint.. and we are a threat.

    Nice Bump.

I just tried it 4 times and got the number 2 pick on the 4th try. that would easily be the best thing to ever happen to this franchise. No pressure just the obvious pick between to future stars.

If we got number 1 or 2 I can just see Michael lighting up a ciger with Big Bob and Bernie doing this, and yes just as retarted:
