    Default Corey Brewer

Is he a shooting Guard or a Small Forward ESPN has him listed as a future SG, while other places have him listed as a SF. I see him as a Shane Battier type, personally.

So, if he is a shooting guard, would you guys draft him with our first pick, assuming it's between 8-11?

I really wanted to draft a center with that top pick, but Oden is going #1 or #2, and I'm assuming that Hibbert will be gone by #8. With that being the case, I'd gladly pick up Corey Brewer assuming that he can play SG. He plays wicked defense and you can never have too many players like that.

brewer is a great defensive player no doubt, but he seems like another gerald wallace with less offense to me.

I agree Ziggy I would prefer a big man first, but I don't want to feel like we HAVE to get a big man first just because. Right now I'm more preferential of picking the best player available.

I feel Brewer could definitely grow into a solid offensive player, like Crash did. We need all the defensive help we can get, and Adam, Matt, Walter, and others can provide the offense. Finding a guy that can be a lockdown defender is harder to find, and can drive a harder bargain in a trade. Hell, when Brewer played against, OSU, his offense looked awfully good to me (probably the reason I shut the TV off at halftime).

    Raymond/whoever
    Corey Brewer/Adam
    Crash/Matt
    Jamison/Walter
    Okafor/Whoever

Looks pretty studly on the offensive/defensive balace IMO. I would want to use Walter a lot for his 3 pt. touch, however. Our guard tandem would grow to be formidable, as I hope/believe Adam will "click" this year on the offensive end.

Draft Express had a good article on Corey Brewer today

    Read it here

He believes that he can step into the team that drafts him and be a defensive presence from day #1.

Good article, I think he is more suited to play 2 in the NBA. So, if Brewer is there at the 8 spot then I hope we don't pass on him. I think he could really help this team.

he would be a great defensive player for us. we would then have wallace (assuming he re-signs) and brewer defending the perimeter and oknasty on the interior. thats sick

I agree. After Durant, Oden and Hibbert, Brewer and Conley are my next two choices for us.

I love Brewer's game. But, are you concerned at all that he only weighs in at a buck-eighty?

No more concerned than I would be if we had Kevin Martin, Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Josh Childress, Josh Howard, Gerald Green, Travis Outlaw or Dorell Wright on our roster
